CD & DVD REPLICATION SHORT RUN DUPLICATION GRAPHIC DESIGN PRODUCTION SERVICES
Frequently Asked Questions
Q:How long will it take to get my discs?
A:Discs are usually completed 10-12 business days from the date that you sign
off on your graphics proofs. However, if you need to expedite your project, a
variety of rush fees and priority shipping options are available.
Q:Can I get quantities less than 500?
A:Yes, we can make as few as one, and as many as 500 duplicated discs. The
price-per disc is higher, but the simple set up process lends itself to lower
quantities. However, there is a minimum of 500 on replicated products. Repli-
cation requires a more extensive set-up process, but with higher quantities, the
price per disc is lower.
Q:What is the difference between Duplication and Replication?
A:Duplication refers to burned CD-Rs or DVD-Rs, whereas Replication refers to
pressed CDs or DVDs. Replicated CDs/DVDs are what you find in stores such as
Comp USA, Best Buy, or Block Buster Video, and are always recommended for
larger runs. Duplicated CDs are recommended for runs of 500 or less, and are
great if you need a quick short run of discs.
Q:How should I create my CD master?
A:Always use a high quality recordable CD-R and remember to burn the master
slowly, no faster than 4x speed. DO NOT USE CD+Rs, CD-RWs for masters.
Q:How should I create my DVD master?
A:Always use a high quality recordable DVD-R for DVD-5 projects and remember
to burn the master slowly, no faster than 4x speed. DO NOT USE DVD+Rs for
masters. For DVD-9 projects, you must provide two DLT masters -- one for layer
0, and another for layer 1.
Q:Do I need a barcode? Can you provide one for me?
A:A barcode (or UPC code) is essential if you are planning on selling your CDs
and DVDs in stores. We can provide you with a free bar code on orders of
1000+. This barcode will be unique to your project, and can be used by retail
outlets to assign inventory information to your product.
Q:Can you help me with my package design?
A:Yes! We have an in-house art department that can help with photography,
graphic design and graphics production.
Q:Can you help me with content for my project?
A:Yes! Our production services include: sound design, original composition, digi-
tal editing, voice-over tracking, DVD authoring, audio mastering, and more.
